There’s a weak sun trying to impart a little warmth and colour to the day, but I felt an urge to brighten it up further with these Kangaroo Paws.
I’ve previously posted photographs of Kangaroo Paws (here and here), but they were of the red and green variety. These ones are decidedly PINK!
King’s Park Botanical Gardens, Perth – August, 2011

These are such pretty plants! Our run of good weather may be at an end. Today is decidedly overcast.
I think they are rather gorgeous!
I guess winter has to happen at some time – otherwise we’ll be wondering when summer will start next year
fantastic flower pic Lu!
Thank you Xandi – they’re fantastic flowers
Very pretty Lu. I love that pink
Thanks Meanderer – yes, it’s not too bad a pink, is it?!
I don’t think I’ve every seen Pink Kangaroo Paws before!
Hi JP – I can’t say I saw any Kangaroo Paws outside the botanical gardens to know whether they are more or less common than the red and green variety.
