Summer’s unfolding in the Western Cape!
This week’s submission for The Weekly Photo Challenge run by The Daily Post. To see what other bloggers are posting - click here!
I’ve set myself a new weekly challenge using the Hipstamatic app on the iPhone, over on my other blog Lu’s Pix. If any of you are interested, feel free to check out the assignment outline and join in the journey
This post isn’t part of that challenge, by the way.
p.s. it doesn’t have to be Hipstamatic if you’d rather use Instagram, Camera+, Snapseed – whatever. The point of the assignment is to select a filter BEFORE you take the photograph pertaining to that week’s photo challenge as set by The Daily Post.

beautiful – reminds me of my cello…
Oh yeah! I see exactly what you mean
makes the fern seem even more elegant now. Thanks for visiting.
thank you for sharing!
Is that a tree fern- it’s a great angle!
Yes, indeed it is! It is so tall that it was the only angle I could reach it from!!
Thanks for the comment
You are welcome -love your blog!
You always have the most beautiful shots! Reminds me that I need to stick to writing.
Emily, when I read your blog I have exact same thought, but in reverse – you tell such amusing stories that it reminds me to stick to taking photographs!
My story-telling skills suck!
My first thought when I saw this week’s challenge was also the tree fern fronds unfolding. Everything else around here is already well into “summer mode”.
I know exactly what you mean, Lisa – most of the flowering plants are long past their best bloom.
Maybe it’s just me, but it has some alien feel to it.
Beautiful!
Alien and/or prehistoric
Thanks for the visit!
